The right way to save on gas

For now, gas prices in our area have seemed to level. Even so I try not to drive much and conserve fuel whenever possible. I came across some old news from UPS today. The company uses software to map out delivery routes which contain the fewest left turns possible. Makes sense to me! Left turns increase engine idle time resulting in engine wear, wasted fuel and additional driver time. Now for a fleet of trucks this leads to huge dollars. But what about you and me?

I know that many of you have already changed the way you drive whether it be running errands less often or having hubby pick-up milk since he is already driving by the grocery store. The price of gas has forced us all to make choices to save but trip efficiency is something that we probably don't think about.

I'll defiantely be thinking my route through the next time I run errands. How about you?
